The Promoter is a gritty, high-energy drama that pulls viewers deep inside the underground world of mixed martial arts promotion. Set on Long Island, the series follows Max La Nista, a sharp-dressed hustler and fight promoter, as he juggles ambition, chaos, and survival in the unpredictable world of small-scale MMA shows. Alongside his longtime friend Michael Rossi, Max works tirelessly to keep his promotion alive—balancing shady deals, unpredictable fighters, regulatory hurdles, and the constant threat of everything unraveling in one night.
The pilot episode drops the audience right into the madness of fight night—dirty venues, gritty crowds, questionable business tactics, and the raw intensity of real fighters going to war in the cage. Every detail—from ring girls to regulators to the desperate scramble to keep an ambulance on site—shows the razor’s edge between success and collapse.
